On safari, your vehicle is what your shoes are during a marathon or your bathing costume on a beach holiday: you will spend a lot of time in it and it can make or break the whole experience.
That’s why at Kenya-Experience, we place a lot of value and pride in driving all our safaris in specially adapted 4×4 Toyota Land Cruisers.
You will experience the true safari feeling, when driving in one of our gentle giants through the bumpy roads of the Kenyan bush.
On all our safaris we make use of specially converted 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers.
A window seat is guaranteed for each guest - whether you book a private safari or small group tour.
Each individual seat has a hip safety belt. There is a safari fridge to keep your drinks cool.
Your driver is also your guide. He will share his local knowledge about flora, fauna and Kenyan day-to-day life with you.
On game drives, you can enjoy unobstructed views at sightings.

What makes our Cruisers the ultimate safari vehicle?
There are six individual seats with safety belts for the hips in each passenger compartment; plus an additional seventh seat in the front next to the driver-guide.
This means, that every guest has a guaranteed window seat on all our safaris, whether it’s a private safari or small group safari.
Additionally to the sliding windows, there is a large pop-up roof as well as a front-roof-hatch for unobstructed views.
You can use the safari fridge to keep your drinks cool on game drives.
Your driver who is also your guide will navigate responsibly through wide savannahs and thick forests, making your safety their priority at all times. We service all vehicles regularly to ensure the Land Cruisers are in top condition and will serve as your reliable companion out in the wild.
Every guide only drives his “dedicated” safari vehicle. Therefore each guide is very familiar with his dedicated vehicle resulting in optimised maintenance and a safe and secure trip.
Luggage
Remember that animals don’t mind if you wear the same pair of pants for a couple of days at a time. We ask all guests to only bring one piece of luggage in a soft shell bag, not exceeding 15kg. Luggage you won’t need on safari can be stored at our operations office in Nairobi.
High-season
Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances or during the peak or high season, Kenya-Experience reserves the right to make use of rental vehicles that are similar, but may not have the exact same equipment that is found in our specialised vehicles.
